Community Involvement
Running for a Cause
This May almost 900 community members signed up for the Run, Walk, Rock event sponsored by Lory's Place. Here is Mike Wyble with Dr. Tim and Wendy.
Our own Kathy Trainor and many Baird clients participated in supporting this great organization.
Honoring our Veterans
Kathy Trainor contacted the South Haven VFW and Parks Depts. This is the third year that we have helped place flags at the gravesites of those who have served our country.
Annual Charity Golf Outing
The history of our charity golf outing goes back to 2021. After the pandemic, everyone was ready to get out and do something. We decided to have a client appreciation golf outing that would do something good for the community. That first year we had 28 golfers, and we raise just over $3000 for a local charity. It went so well that we decided to try it again in 2022. This time we had over 80 golfers and raised $10,000. Those that played asked if they could invite friend the next year. So, it looks like we are doing it again.
In 2023, we moved to Orchard Hills CC. Since then, we have sold out our event each year. Over the past 5 years we have been able to raise of $75,000 for local charities in our community. All thanks to generous golfers and amazing sponsors!
A Caring Community Partner
Baird has a long tradition of giving back in the communities where our associates live and work, and many give generously of their time, talents and personal resources to local organizations. Our associates also support annual firm level campaigns to raise funds for local and national charities. And our Baird Foundation provides financial support for causes ranging from fighting homelessness and hunger to promoting education and the arts.
Other ways Baird supports associates’ passion for giving back include Baird Gives Back Week; an event encouraging associates to team up in their communities and volunteer in a range of activities, including tutoring students, working with seniors, building homes and cleaning up parks.
